In April 2006 I was privileged to meet a guy called Duncan Lorien. Duncan made some very bold statements about playing music. He claimed in three days you can learn:   

• All the note names on the keyboard and guitar from memory and how to work out the note names on other types of Western musical instruments.    
• How to play all the scales and modes (a special type of scale) on both keyboard and guitar.
• Memorise dozens of scales in the three days.
• How to play every single chord on both the keyboard AND guitar
• To memorise dozens of chords during the three days.
• How simply the physics of sound and the history of music can be explained.
• New breakthrough easy exercises to teach you to coordinate hands and fingers rapidly accelerating your playing technique.
• How to understand a chord chart so that you can play songs for keyboard and guitar in minutes not hours.  

Not only this but that he has worked out 100 ten minute lessons for keyboards and guitar, that if you did daily would give you a quantum leap in your playing ability…and even more – “you don’t even need to have ever played a musical instrument before”. 

I was amazed at the claim, just imagine the potential… In just three months any or all of these things could be happening to you: ·        You could be amazing friends and family with an incredible new talent.·   

Perhaps your children want to learn to play and you don’t want the expense and hassle of those laborious twice weekly lessons.·
